|One of the two endemic species of the genus Oenanthe to be found in Cyprus. Its length is 14.5 cm. It breeds almost everywhere on the island. By early November it migrates to Africa, mainly to Ethiopia to spend the winter. It returns y the end of February. The differences from the pied wheatear Oenanthe pleschanka are many, but the most striking is that Oenanthe Cypriaca shows almost no sexual dimorphism. They differ also significantly in various measurements and diagnostically in length of wing and in their singing.|
