| Pavlos Liasides (1901-1985), along with Michaelides and Lipertis, belongs to the top three Cyprus dialectical poets. During his long presence with the Cyprus Letters, Liasides crated a massive poetic and theatrical work. The themes of his poems vary: idyllic and love poems with themes deriving from the Cyprus rural life, poems with a wider social questioning based on which the poet forms a completely personal world view which stirs the soul with its philosophical, linguistic and aesthetic composition. In the epicenter of this worldview are his vision for a world of social justice and unrestricted freedom for the man. Text: Thomas Symeou, Nicosia.
