Definitive Issue: Queen Victoria CYPRUS Overprint - Half-Penny Surcharge

The 1/2d CYPRUS overprint stamp went out of stock, so it was decided to overprint 1d stamps with the word "HALF-PENNY". This took place on several occasions, each time using a different surcharge plate, thus distinguishing 3 different overprint types.

This issue is known as the Die II issue. The differences with the Die I are subtle but well known, such as the length of lines on the neck and the hair of the queen.
